Dr. Ainsley began her academic career at the University of Toronto, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Kinesiology. There, while balancing a full course load, she helped the Varsity Blues Water Polo Team to a national championship title. Dr. Ainsley then moved to the Bay Area of Northern California where she completed her Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic - West, where she focused on Sports Chiropractic and the intricate aspects of human movement. She finished her Palmer academics graduating Suma Cum Laud as the Salutatorian of her class and was awarded the Presidential Scholar award.
Ainsley has a thorough understanding of the physical requirements of the human body and is no stranger to the work it takes to come back from sports injuries. Although she works with a vast array of clients from all activity levels, she is passionate about working with athletes from the recreational, to the professional level. When she isn’t treating patients at Coalition, she is likely working sideline with a local sports team, or travelling on the World Cup circuit as a member of the Integrated Support Team (IST) for Team Canada Skeleton.
Ainsley believes in an active, movement-based lifestyle, and emphasizes the importance of injury prevention. With each patient she strives to take an individualized treatment approach that focuses on getting to the root of the problem. In doing so, Dr. Ainsley can ensure that her patients can return to their favourite activities feeling and performing at their best.
Growing up in Calgary, movement and the outdoors have always been an important part of Ainsley’s life. During her free time, you will likely find her practicing her golf game, snowboarding in Whitefish, or hiking in Kananaskis with her friends and family.
